The Cook County Board today failed to override Todd Stroger’s veto of the fifty-cent rollback in the sales tax hike passed earlier this summer. That failure to override was due to the vote of Commissioner Deborah Sims — who flipped her position and provided the deciding vote to uphold Stroger’s veto.
